OE experience with Moore Japan

Working from home takes on a whole new meaning for Moore Markhams Wellington Audit assistant manager, Jonathan Naysmith. Very shortly that ‘home’ will be in Tokyo, Japan where he’ll be working for Moore Shisei Japan while continuing to work with our Wellington clients.

A trip to Japan with friends in 2018 started his fascination of the Japanese culture, he’d already been keen on the cuisine, and now he and his partner and fellow accountant, will experience the buzz of a very bustling city while expanding their careers.

“I’ve lived in Wellington all my life so I’m excited to have a change of lifestyle while keeping a bit of familiarity with my work life,” he says.

His days will start earlier to align with the Wellington office work day and on his Japan-work days he’ll be enjoying the international secondment experience in the Tokyo office.

Jonathan is keen to better understand the Japanese business culture as well as the history and cultural traditions of the country.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity and I’m delighted that both Moore firms are prepared to be flexible to make this work.”
