Finding now on audio thanks to Moore Markhams

Moore Markhams is helping young adult members of Blind Low Vision’s Accessible Library enjoy David Hill’s novel, Finding. We’ve supported the recording of the New Zealand author’s book that traces the fortunes of two New Zealand families through seven generations and over 130 years of fast-flowing change.

Narrator was Gary Denvir, who recorded the story that has a playing time of five hours and two minutes. The whole project actually took 15 hours in total to source, record, produce and catalogue.

Blind Low Vision is this country’s leading provider of vision rehabilitation, providing practical and emotional support for people with vision loss.

They support people with no or limited useful sight that makes doing day-to-day tasks a challenge, even with the best corrective lenses. Approximately three quarters of the people worked with have some vision (called low vision), and the remainder are blind.

The Accessible Library offers a great range of books, newspapers and magazines in audio, braille, large print or digital. It offers a broad range of material suitable for children, youth and adults.
