Andrew Kirkpatrick departs

What started out as a three-month strategic plan assignment a year ago, then moved into an implementation project, has led to an opportunity for director Andrew Kirkpatrick to become Commercial Manager for our client, Rod McDonald Wines. Andrew commenced in that position full-time on 1 February, with director Mark Knofflock taking over as advisor to Andrew’s clients.

“For the past year, I’ve lived a double life, working as part of the Rod McDonald Wines team while at the same time, looking after clients’ needs. It was time to put a stake in the ground and after 30 years’ in public practice I decided this was an opportunity for a change to work focused on one business in an interesting industry,” says Andrew. “It’s obviously with some regret I leave my client relationships but I know they’re in good hands.”

RMW will remain a client so we’ll still be seeing Andrew from time to time.

Queen’s honour to Basil

We were thrilled to learn that Basil Brooker, a long-time partner of the firm who retired in 2012, was awarded a Queen’s Service Medal for services to music in the New Year Honours List. A fair tribute indeed as Basil has served our region’s musical community for even longer than his time with the firm!
