I am a Financial Adviser with Moore Markhams Financial Services and an Associate at Moore Oldershaw in Napier. I have over 19 years of experience in accounting and more than eight years in wealth management. I hold a degree in Finance and Economics from Massey University and I am a Chartered Accountant.
My accounting work centres on cross-border tax. I support new immigrants and returning Kiwis as they navigate New Zealand’s tax and accounting requirements, clients with overseas assets and pensions, international families and globally mobile professionals, and individuals and businesses with complex international tax and reporting matters. I also work across global advisory and due diligence, business start-ups and international structuring, and cross-border mobility and global tax guidance. I understand the practical challenges that come with managing financial obligations across jurisdictions, and I work carefully to make sure nothing is missed.
As a Financial Adviser with Moore Markhams Financial Services, I work alongside Marc Nel to deliver the practice’s full range of services. I design personalised investment, retirement and long-term financial plans. My advisory work covers international pension transfers, investor visa financial structuring, retirement and investment planning, estate planning, and cross-border financial coordination. I enjoy building trusted, long-term relationships with my clients. I take time to understand each person’s situation and goals, and I help them make confident decisions about their financial future. My approach is thorough and patient, and I believe that good advice starts with good listening.
I am originally from China. I am fluent in Mandarin, and I work closely with Chinese families, investors and business owners who are connected to New Zealand or operating globally. This cultural and language capability is a significant part of how Moore Markhams Financial Services serves its international client base, particularly for clients from China and the broader Asia-Pacific region. I understand the financial systems, the cultural expectations and the practical concerns that come with moving your financial life between countries.
What motivates me is helping people feel settled and confident. Whether someone is transferring a pension from the UK or Australia, structuring an investment for a visa application, or planning for retirement, I want them to feel that the complexity has been taken care of and that they understand every step of the process.
