Matt is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of professional experience, combining strong technical expertise with a contemporary advisory mindset. He works closely with clients to understand their businesses in depth and provide advice aligned with both immediate priorities and long term objectives.
His background includes extensive work with growing businesses and corporate groups, assisting with structuring, performance improvement, and strategic planning. He is known for his pragmatic, hands on approach and strong commercial insight, which has made him a trusted adviser to businesses across New Zealand.
Matt advises clients across a broad range of industries and business sizes, helping them better understand their financial position and plan effectively for growth. He has particular expertise in management reporting, business acquisitions and disposals, property investment, tax planning, investments, and valuations, supporting clients through key decision points.
As part of the firm’s leadership team, Matt is actively involved in developing advisory capability and supporting continuous improvement across the practice. He currently serves on the Moore New Zealand Board and represents New Zealand on the Asia Pacific Board of Moore Global, contributing to strategic leadership at both a national and international level.
Matt has a strong interest in supporting clients who are starting, acquiring, or growing a business, and is passionate about helping them navigate complexity with clarity and confidence. Alongside his professional work, Matt has held coaching and governance roles within the sporting community.
