For some older Moore Markhams Otago clients, Gemma Sheed needs no introducing. She was with the firm when it was Clarke Craw and then Markhams Clarke Craw before leaving to start her family eight years ago.
Now after four children and working as a bookkeeper for a few small clients, Gemma is back and putting her Xero knowledge and Chartered Accountancy experience together to help our clients.
From clients transitioning their accounting system to Xero, or those who are just getting into cloud- based accounting software, Gemma is on hand to guide, support and train. She’ll also advise on what Xero add-ons can be incorporated to suit a business’ need.
Re-joining the team in April, Gemma is loving her dealings with clients. “It’s fantastic to be able to show a person how easy Xero can make their life. What the best fit is for them.”
Her accounting know-how means Gemma can help set up systems to provide business advisors with what they need, as well as showing clients what information the software can deliver for their business. From code queries to full conversion from an old system, nothing phases Gemma.
She’s working from our office three mornings a week but is enjoying getting out to clients’ premises at other times. She fits her work time around her young family and is happy to visit a client after 5pm if that’s what works best.
