For 40 years, Moore Stephens Markhams has been part of the Wanganui community. In 1953, the late Ron Glasgow set up accountancy firm, Glasgow and Meyers in Wanganui. The firm joined the Markhams group in 1973 and adopted the national name in 1980, when Mr Glasgow left the business.
Our Waverley office (a subsidiary of Markhams Wanganui Ltd) operates in south Taranaki with a client base focused almost exclusively on rural and forestry business.
In 2010, along with our Markhams New Zealand network firms, Markhams Wanganui joined forces with Moore Stephens, one of the world's major accounting and consulting associations consisting of 307 independent firms in 105 countries. Today, the firm continues to work with a number of Glasgow and Meyers' original clients as well as their successors.
