Markhams Wairarapa Limited has its roots well entrenched in Wairarapa’s history.
| 1926 | W. V. Madden was first established by Walter Madden who arrived from Halcombe (Manawatu) in 1923. He was the accountant at the Waingawa Freezing Works until commencing in public practice in 1926. |
| 1948 | Greytown office opened after the purchase of Warren Thomson’s business and became Madden Levien & Woodhouse following the return of Bob Levien and Boyd Woodhouse after WWII. |
| 1973 | Became Woodhouse McEwen Johnsen & Commin following the retirement of Walter Madden (1952) and Bob Levien (1972). Gavin McEwen (1954), Laurie Johnsen (1954) and David Commin (1961) taking partnership. |
| 1984 | Rebranded as Woodhouse & Partners. |
| 1995 | Formed initial association with Markhams national group. |
| 2001 | Purchase of Millar and Dean, Carterton and Incorporated as Woodhouse & Partners Limited. |
| 2004 | Rebranded as Markhams MRI Wairarapa Limited. |
| 2008 | Rebranded as Markhams Wairarapa Limited. |
| 2010 | Became an independent member firm of Moore Stephens International Limited. |
| 2011 | Markhams Wairarapa Limited moved to new WBS owned premises, 40 Perry Street, Masterton. |
