Top 8 ‘best fit’ for us

Recently the Sunday Star-Times released its benchmarking results of the country’s top 30 accounting firms, by revenue and growth.

The Moore Stephens Markhams national network came in at number eight, and it’s a result that sits right with us – we’re not one of the ‘big four’ because we’ve never wanted to be and instead, we see our network as being the right fit for our clients and your businesses.

“We enjoy the power of our national and international connections but locally, we’re accessible to our clients and able to work personally with them to help ensure their success,” says Bruce Stormer, who took over as national group chair from Atul Mehta at the beginning of December.

“You, your business and financial interests are our number-one focus. It’s certainly important that we have scale and depth of experience and expertise across the country.

“This is one aspect that helps us attract quality people, but for us, personal relationships are at the core of our service and ethos. We want to provide all the personal attention and expert local market knowledge business owners need to succeed.”

Bruce says the benchmarking exercise was an interesting opportunity for the group’s seven firms. “We encourage our clients to benchmark themselves, we even facilitate such surveys for the legal and pharmacy sectors, as it’s an opportunity to step back and take an objective look at where your business is at. It was no different for us, and well worth the effort.”
