Pharmacy Guild Endorsement of Markhams
Markhams is now the preferred financial and accounting services provider to members of The Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand (Inc), the country’s largest and most dominant community pharmacy business owners’ organisation.
In announcing the endorsement, Guild’s Chief Executive Annabel Young said “Good financial management is the backbone of a profitable, well functioning business. With over 80 pharmacies around the country already on their books, Markhams has a unique understanding of the community pharmacy environment and can help pharmacy owners reach their business goals.”
Markhams Pharmacy Business Development Unit (BDU) is comprised of members from most of the group’s seven firms around the country. In addition to providing accounting services, Markhams advisors work with pharmacy business owners on mergers and acquisitions, and planning strategic direction.
Pharmacy BDU members also presented Guild and society seminars on topics such as on Pharmacy Valuation, Due Diligence, Buy and Sell Process, and Profit Improvements.
Markhams Auckland Director and head of the group’s Pharmacy Business Development Unit (BDU), Atul Mehta believes the endorsement is a privilege but one that has been well-earned. “Our Pharmacy BDU is proactive and has taken a keen interest in the dynamics of this industry over many years.
“In addition, we have built excellent relationships with all the major players in the pharmacy industry including Brand Managers, wholesalers, Government agencies and all other suppliers.
“We look forward to sharing our collective knowledge to help pharmacy owners around the country improve their profitability and meet their individual objectives.”
