Hawke’s Bay Team news winter 2017

For he’s a jolly good Fellow!

We are proud to announce that not one but two of our leaders have been accorded the honour of being named Fellows of our industry body.  Dan Druzianic and Barry Rosenberg are now each a Fellow of Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).  This accolade acknowledges their contributions to the Chartered Accountancy profession and the high regard in which they are held by their colleagues.

A time for every season

In January last year, Bryant Associates merged with Moore Stephens Markhams as Gerard Bryant moved towards retirement and the opportunity to spend more time enjoying other aspects of life.

Now 16 months later, that time has come, and Gerard is now retired. Over the intervening time, Gerard has been working closely with Mark Knofflock, a director of our firm, to ensure Gerard’s clients’ affairs are well looked after.

Former Bryant team members, Diane, Sandra, Cherie and Leanne will continue to work with Mark to provide continuity.

Barry Rosenberg has changed roles within the firm, from Director to Consultant, as he moves towards undertaking more family business succession planning assignments. Barry, who is the author of the Case Study featured in this newsletter, completed a MBA focusing on succession planning and exit strategies, and is keen to further his expertise in this area. It is a particular passion and he sees much scope to help family businesses navigate this challenge successfully.  Barry is still available to assist existing clients with their ongoing business needs.
